Motorcar 5351
Originally, this tram belonged to the 251-370 series. In 1948, the 351 was modernised. In June 1949, it entered service as a prototype. It was equipped with a sprung coupling between wheel discs and rim, more rational steering, pneumatically driven doors on the right-hand side, better lighting and ventilation and directional filming. The two balconies were enlarged and the steering post on the rear balcony removed. A downside was that the receiver still had to do its service walking.
Using the 351 as an example, thirteen cars were modernised between1948 and1954. In 1963, these were given the number 5 in front of their number. In 1966-1967, they were still converted for one-man operation. Only the 5351 survived. The other trams of this type were scrapped in 1974 and 1975.
