Can I eat and drink at the Tram Festival?
Yes indeed. There are food and drink stands. There are also additional sanitary facilities.
Of course, you can also visit one of the many catering establishments in the area of the Korenmarkt.
Is the Tram Festival open to everyone?
The Tram Party is a celebration for everyone, including people with physical disabilities.
Note that most of the historic trams are not accessible.
- Want to visit one of the historic trams from the Tram Expo? Then speak to one of the Tram Festival staff.
- Would you like to ride along on one of the public rides? Then contact the organisers in advance.
What should I pay attention to when I ride along?
- Passengers are reminded that they are taking their seats on a heritage tram that requires special care.
- Access to and disembarkation from the vehicles is regulated by the tram driver, the attendant and the stop manager (access prams).
- The number of seats is limited to 20 or 30, depending on the tram type.
- Children under 12 years of age are only allowed when accompanied by an adult.
- A ticket does not entitle you to a guaranteed seat.
- On the rides of the parade only volunteers on duty on this day are allowed. Other travellers are not allowed....
- De Lijn's house rules apply to historic trams.

Are you coming to Ghent by car? Please keep in mind that the entire city center of Ghent is a low-emission zone. Vehicles that emit too much soot and particulate matter are not allowed to enter the low-emission zone.

How do I buy a ticket for the passenger journey?
Most activities at the Tram Festival are free. Only the public rides require a ticket. You can buy tickets for the public rides at the Gent Sint-Pieters stop and at the event site on the Korenmarkt.
