When do the PCCs pass through the stops?

Starting at 10:00 a.m., the PCCs will be traveling through the city. At that time, PCCs will be passing through the National Bank intersection—heading toward Bolivarplaats, the MAS, and the Groenenhoek Tram Museum. At the same time, a PCC will depart from the Tram Museum as well.

The PCCs run approximately every ten minutes throughout the day. Starting at 5:00 p.m., the trams begin their return trip. You can still ride along until you reach the Groenenhoek Tram Museum.

It is not possible to provide an exact schedule for the PCCs. The vehicles operate on the routes of many Antwerp tram lines without disrupting the regular service of those lines.

What should I keep in mind when riding along?

  • Boarding and exiting the vehicles is managed by the tram driver and the attendant.
  • You can purchase your ticket from the attendant on the tram or at the Groenenhoek Tram Museum.
  • Children under 12 years of age may only ride when accompanied by an adult.
  • A ticket does not guarantee a seat.
  • De Lijn’s rules and regulations apply on the trams.

How do I get to the stops?

  • By tram, of course. The PCCs stop at stops on tram lines 1, 4, 7, 10, 11, 24, A3, and A9. Several bus lines also stop at or near these stops. Check De Lijn’s route planner.
  • Prefer to bike? Great. There are several bike racks scattered throughout the city. There are also various stations for bike-sharing, scooter-sharing, and kick scooter-sharing; you can find them on the Slim naar Antwerpen website.
  • You can also reach the course by train. The PCC passes through the Antwerp-South, Antwerp-Berchem, and Antwerp-Central stations. Plan your route via the NMBS website.
  • Traveling by car or motorcycle? Then it is best to park at one of the P+R facilities on the outskirts of the city.

How do I get to the Groenenhoek Tram Museum?

The Tram Museum is located near the Groenenhoek stop, which is served by tram lines 4, 11, and A9, and bus lines 51, 52, and 53. Plan your route using De Lijn’s route planner.

Can I eat and drink? Are restrooms available?

No. You are not allowed to eat or drink on the PCCs. The Groenenhoek Tram Museum also does not have any food or beverage facilities. Of course you can use the restrooms at the Tram Museum.

Are the PCCs accessible to everyone?

The PCCs are not accessible to everyone. However, our attendants will assist passengers with boarding and exiting. The Tram Museum is accessible to everyone. Please note: there are tram tracks inside the Tram Museum, which requires extra caution for wheelchair users.

Can I take photos or videos?

Of course! Just be careful and be sure to be considerate of other passengers and road users.

With your hop-on/hop-off ticket, you can get on and off at any stop you choose. Take your time there to take photos or record videos. The trams run about every 10 minutes, so there’s always another PCC on its way.
